My father is a teacher and my mother is a worker.→My mother is a worker and my father is a teacher.
我的父亲是一位教师,我的妈妈是一位工人。
He always studies very hard, and he has passed the exam easily.(不能互换位置)
他一直很努力地学习,结果很容易地通过了这次考试。
⑵ but连接两个句子时,表示的是转折的关系,意思上截然相反。例如:
This math problem is very easy, but he can’t work it out.
这道数学题非常容易,但是他不会做。
⑶ so连接两个句子时,表示的是因果关系。但要注意,用so时,不能再用because。例如:
This child is too young, so he can’t go to school.
这个孩子太小,还不能上学。
⑷ or意为“否则”,连接两个句子时,前一句往往表示条件,后一句表示结果。例如:
Hurry up, or we will miss the early bus.
快点,否则的话,我们会赶不上早班车。
